Anita Pearl is an adventuresome direct carver in stone.
She has an affinity for the medium: for the forgiving strength
of limestone, for the glints of crystal in marble, for the subtle
hues of alabaster. With chisel and mallet in hand, rasp at her
side, she cajoles images from the stone, refining them along
the way, until the job is done.
Her style is figurative; her subject, humanity.
